The GuitArt International Guitar Festival Plovdiv is a long-awaited and traditional event of the Cultural Calendar of Plovdiv, implemented with the financial support of the Municipality of Plovdiv. It is organized by the Fusion Way Association, which brings together people with a passion for the guitar as an instrument that has the ability to unite musicians and amateurs from different cultural backgrounds. The love for one of the most popular musical instruments is the reason why each edition of the festival turns into a celebration of the guitar, revealing its place in the development of pop and rock music, its classical musical heritage and the joy it brings to the people who play and listen to it.
"GuitArt Festival Plovdiv's festival mission is dedicated to being an educational and social platform for the development of Bulgarian musical talent and to highlight the guitar's place in the history and development of contemporary music around the world," says Hristo Kolikov, well known from the cult band Del Padre, the festival's organizer. Over the years, Fusion Way has fulfilled this mission by organizing a rich and interesting concert program, seminars and master classes with Bulgarian, regional and world-renowned guitarists and teachers, an exhibition of Bulgarian guitar makers and musical instrument importers, free lessons, music film screenings and children's activities.
In this year's edition of GuitArt International Guitar Festival Plovdiv from 5 to 8 October we will have the pleasure to see and hear Marcin Dilla (Poland), Nino D'Amico (Italy), Baba Zula (Turkey), Jazzta Prasta Trio/Jazzta Prasta (Bulgaria), Trio Mandili (Georgia), Darko Bageski (North Macedonia).
Tickets for GuitArt Festival Plovdiv are on sale at the Ticket Centre in front of the Plovdiv Municipality, at the Tourist Information Centre at the Roman Stadium, at the Ancient Theatre ticket office , MaskArt box office at the Boris Hristov House of Culture, throughout the Eventim network, and at the door before the events.
