The Easter holidays are approaching - a time that inspires us to rediscover our faith in goodness, hope and miracles. Traditional elements associated with the holiday have been preserved to a large extent - eggs are dyed on Thursday or Saturday, there is kozunak and lamb on the table, going to church on the night before the Resurrection. This year, the Municipality of Plovdiv has prepared various initiatives for the holidays from April 30 until May 6. 

The highlight of the festive program is on May 6, at 5:00 p.m. in “Stefan Stambolov” square, when a unique concert titled "He, She and the Accordion" will be held for the first time in Bulgaria.  Joining forces with accordionists Veronika Todorova and Kaloyan Kumanov are the legendary Svetlin Staykov on guitar, Alexander Lekov on bass guitar, Miroslav Turiyski on piano, Nacho Gospodinov on drums, and a string quartet comprising Stiliyan Dermendzhiev, Teodor Dobrev, Petya Kavalova, and Anet Artinyan. This date holds special significance as it coincides with World Accordion Day.
