Bulgarian literature in brief is a comedy by Ivo Siromakhov about the absurd situation in today's Bulgarian school.
The action of the play takes place in the classroom, where three teachers are faced with the challenge of teaching all Bulgarian literature in an attractive and modern way, so that it can be understood by modern students.
The teachers devotedly acted out the conflicts between Ivan Vazov and Pencho Slaveykov, Yovkov and Elin Pelin, the love triangle between Yavorov, Lora and Mina and staged moments from "Under the Yoke", "On the Furrow", "On the Wire".
Through laughter and bitter irony, "Bulgarian literature in brief" tells about the absurd situation and the absurdities in Bulgarian education.
Actors Nencho Ilchev, Maria Ignatova and Antoine Petrov play the roles of the three teachers
The show is directed by Zlatomir Moldovanski ("A Game for Two", "Love Stories", "Boys and the City"), the stage design and costumes are by Ivelina Mineva, and the music is by DJ D-Trax.
