In 2026, the Черната Кутия festival celebrates 20 years of history. Founded in 2007, the festival has gone through various stages of development over the years and has established itself as one of the most recognizable and important festivals for international theatre and contemporary dance in Bulgaria.
The festival program features international and Bulgarian artists and events in the fields of theatre and contemporary dance from Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
