The International Music Festival "Trimontiada" presents a festive Easter concert for the audience in Plovdiv and the city's guests.
The event will feature vocal and instrumental soloists from Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Switzerland, the "Ivan Spassov" Choir, and the "Frank Martin" Chamber Orchestra.
Johann Sebastian Bach's St. John Passion BWV 245 is considered one of the most important masterpieces in the history of Western music. The work, written in 1724 in Leipzig (Germany) and revised by the composer in 1725, 1739, and 1749, depicts in an operatic style the final days of Christ, his trial and sentence, as well as the last hours of his agony.
