Spring Fair of Crafts
Spring Fair of Crafts, Festival
Thursday, May 29th - Sunday, June 1st
Small Main Street, "Rayko Daskalov" Street
The Spring Craft Fair in Plovdiv is an annual event that brings together craftsmen and artisans from various fields, showcasing their handmade products, traditional crafts, as well as unique works of art and decorative items. The fair offers a wonderful opportunity for visitors to explore the rich Bulgarian cultural heritage and purchase original gifts and souvenirs.
The highlight of this year's event is the unique exhibition "Code Costume – Dolls, Guardians of Tradition," which will take place in two locations – the "Crafts" Gallery and along Rayko Daskalov Street itself. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire the elegance of handcrafted felt dolls dressed in traditional folk costumes from various ethnographic regions of Bulgaria. The author of the exhibition is master craftswoman Rumyana Gercheva from the town of Shumen. The exhibition will open at the "Crafts" Gallery on May 29 at 5:00 PM, after which a parade accompanied by the sound of bagpipes will lead craftsmen and participants to the Roman Stadium Square, where the Crafts Fair will officially open at 6:00 PM. The event will be further enlivened by the folk dance school Ludi Mladi from the Community Center "Prof. Kiril Dzhenev-2018".
The event is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the city's Cultural Calendar for 2025.
