Crossroads of Cultures, Concert-Performance by Nina Nikolina and the Ensemble Trakia

The project showcases the diversity of European folklore through an innovative musical interpretation. The idea is inspired by Nina Nikolina herself, who, together with the Thrace Ensemble and the “Magical Voices” formation, will build a musical and cultural bridge connecting Bulgaria, Croatia, Albania, Greece, Italy, Spain, Romania, and Ukraine.
The performance also features some of the most prominent names from the Bulgarian jazz and ethno scene: Kalin Velov (drums/percussion), Martin Tashev (trumpet), Petar Yordanov – Bunny, and Petar Milanov, Biserka Pilarska, and Tanya Parvanova (vocals).
The event is free to attend until the venue reaches full capacity. Invitations can be picked up at the box office of the Boris Hristov House of Culture starting Tuesday, January 20.
The event is organized as part of the “Together Again” project by the Municipality of Plovdiv, funded through the NextGenerationEU Recovery and Resilience Mechanism under Bulgaria’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and administered by the National Culture Fund.
