TradART – Painting: Then and Now, Exhibition

The exhibition, curated by Plamena Dimitrova-Racheva and Monika Romenska, is presented as part of the 2026 Cultural Events Calendar of the Municipality of Plovdiv, following a competition for a curatorial concept focused on artists who have left a significant mark on the city’s cultural life. The project was one of the winners in last year’s competition program, with the jury recommending that, if possible, the concepts ranked second and third should also be realized due to their high artistic value and importance for the audience.
The intergenerational dialogue of TradART is not just an exhibition but a large-scale project exploring the connection between legendary masters and contemporary successors of the Plovdiv School.
The opening will take place on 3 February 2026, at 6 p.m., at Kapana Gallery, part of the Plovdiv City Art Gallery, 29 Rayko Daskalov Street, Plovdiv.
