A dramatic comedy that follows the story of two men who, by force of circumstance, are compelled to live on the streets as homeless outcasts. Each of them has a different life story and a different reason for ending up there. Once, they both had professions, good lives, and families. After meeting by chance and growing close, they decide to help the one who still has a chance at happiness.
Vishnevski is a former professor of statistics. After his wife passes away, he loses everything and, with his last money, travels to Naples—his wife’s hometown. On a freezing evening, he meets the homeless man Tony, who takes him under his wing and introduces him to life on the streets. The story begins with their first encounter.
Tony adores football and speaks about it in a way that sounds like poetry. He also loves Naples. Together, they wander and survive in the vast city, which becomes their home—full of danger and beauty.
A touching story about the value of freedom and the lack of meaning if there is no one to share it with. Through two people who have lost absolutely everything, we come to understand that freedom, life, and love ultimately turn out to be one and the same.
