Bishop's Basilica of Philippopolis
Bishop's Basilica of Philippopolis
The concert presents an emotional and stylistically rich mix of chamber classical music and jazz, performed by a distinguished ensemble of musicians. “Zodiac” is a musical kaleidoscope of 12 pieces – one for each zodiac sign. Each movement carries a distinct character and emotion, presenting Hristo Yotsov’s unique interpretation of the musical image of the zodiac signs.
The program combines classical chamber music and jazz on equal footing, which is reflected in the careful selection of performers – musicians experienced in both genres. The composer hopes that the project will reach a wide audience, appealing both to lovers of classical music and jazz, united by an interest in emotionally expressive and masterfully performed music.
Performers in the concert include: Borislav Yotsov – clarinet, Nadezhda Yotsova – piano, Dimitar Karamfilov – double bass, Hristo Yotsov – drums and vibraphone, together with the string quartet of the Pleven Philharmonic: Katya Dancheva – violin, Alexandrina Stoichkova – violin, Yoana Ancheva – viola, Hristina Kostova – cello.
