A contemporary play by Neil LaBute, at once romantic, painfully realistic, and surprisingly funny — a story about second chances, the choice to stay or leave, and the small reasons that lead us toward our own happiness.
With a strong sense of humor, sharp and honest dialogue, and an unflinching exploration of human weaknesses, the play raises key questions: How much are we willing to forgive? What is true intimacy? And can a person be happy without truly knowing themselves?
At the center of the story is a couple who have broken up but have not yet extinguished their feelings. When the former partners meet again, they are confronted with all the unspoken truths, small wounds, and great hopes that continue to bind them together — or push them apart. In parallel, their best friends become entangled in their own web of desire, jealousy, and uncertainty.
