The exhibition is the result of many years of increasingly close collaboration between the gallery and established representatives of the Austrian art scene, built through mutual exchange, growing professional relationships, and reciprocal visits by artists and curators.
The exhibition presents more than 65 works, primarily paintings and sculptures by artists with distinctive visual languages. This diversity is reflected in the exhibition's title, Creative Spaces. The exhibition is curated by Prof. Rolf Laven, Krasimir Linkov, art historian and Director of the Plovdiv City Art Gallery, and Milena Kitipova, Chief Curator of the gallery.
The opening, attended by some of the participating artists, will take place on 8 July at 6 p.m..
Visitors will have the opportunity to see works by Richard Bodin, Prof. Ulrich Gansert, Silvia Genova, Momo Höflinger, Udo Hohenberger, Walter Kanov, Prof. Tonia Kos, Brigitte Kratochvil, Prof. Rolf Laven, Savatou Mouratidou, Tanya Rashid, Faek Rasul, Erika Seiwald, and Ernst Zdrahal.
