On the feast of St. Trifon Zarezan’s Day we invite You to peep in the old Bulgarians’ secrets for producing good wine and rakia. They are not only products of earth, but also products of their maker’s imagination, of his intelligence and spirituality. Wine and rakia are his best award, symbols of fertility and life. Supporting the faith and the spirit, they are immutable companions of the Bulgarians in holidays and workdays. The production of good home made wine and rakia demands great skills. This knowledge is passed from generation to generation.  

You are welcome on February 1st in 11:00 to reveal the secrets of the old wine and rakia masters. Come to the Ethnographic Museum to trim the wine together so the year will be full and healthy, and prosperous for us all.

In the exhibit, until February 28th 2017, You can learn old wine and rakia crafts, discover recipies for ancient remedies and laugh while reading about the harm that spirits bring.
