The exhibition is housed in the building of the Girls' High School, designed and constructed in 1881 under the supervision of architect Yosif Shniter. In 2022, both the building and the collection underwent complete restoration and renovation, and reopened to the public. The exhibition features over 300 original artworks that trace the development of Bulgarian visual art from the National Revival period to the present day. It showcases prominent artists and distinctive stylistic movements.
