On 14.06.2016 at 18:00 pm Vazrazdane Gallery will open an exhibition of paintings by Grigor Angelov, on the occasion of his 75th anniversary. The exhibition will continue up until 04.07.2016.

Grigor Angelov is one of the several brilliant Bulgarian poster artists, created the glory of this art at European and global level.
Today, already 75 years old, Grigo remains elegant, spiritual and intelligent man and artist. His paintings are still steeped in romantic whiff of his idealistic and fresh outlook on life. Still, he looks for beauty in his characters - lovely women with long necks, winged cats and others - all subject of his desire for soaring. Especially Grigorov's stylization of the figures continue to set the magnetic vision of a picturesque world that obeys only to the impulse of good, beauty and bright feelings.

Grigor Angelov Short Bio

Born in 1941 in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 1973, he graduated from the National Art Academy in Sofia, specializing in "Posters" with prof. Al. Poplilov. In the following years he worked actively in this genre and take part in some of the most important biennials for Poster Art in the world. He is the author of over 120 published theater, movie, social and architectural posters. He has made 13 solo exhibitions of paintings in Bulgaria and France, and participated in numerous exhibitions with other artists. In 1989 he was awarded the National Award named after Alexander Zhendov.
