The opera is set by Swiss director Reto Nikler. The time and place of the action in this play grows again in Italy (within 24 hours), but the prospect is shifting in the 30s of last century, during the dictatorship of Mussolini. The décor of the Dutch painter Karel Spanhak is "dressed" in the media, which contributes to the diversity and attractiveness of the overall scenography.
