 We claim often  that the  most intrinsic genre in Irish Literature is  tragicomedy.But in this  case with the drama  Makdona comedy and tragedy are so strenght attached that are converted into a common alloy оf indistinguishable threads. His plays are amazingly entertainable but we are hilariously laughting at some point and simultaneously hurt in pain.In those plays the family is something degenerate , public order in in such a chaos , the moral itself is gone vanishly .The characters are really puzzled  by he reality.This makes them so comic and demonic аt the same time.Because besides naive, they also are ruthlessly brutal.
