"Summer in Kapana": exhibition and concert
"Summer in Kapana" Events
The last of the series of "hanging photo exhibitions" - "Casual Asia: similarities in diversity" under the umbrellas on Abadjiyska Street promises to be very interesting, exotic, with a view to the sunrise.
The exhibition will be presented on Tuesday, September 15 at 20:00 with the support of the Municipality of Plovdiv.
Photo exhibition "Casual Asia: Similarities in Diversity" is organized by the Library of Ideas and Events and Whiskey bar Sandak \ Sandak on Abadzhiyska Street 8-10.
The aim of this photo exhibition is to present a small part of the people and cultures of several countries - India, Japan, Myanmar, Thailand, and Cambodia - unique in their differences, but also similar in nature. Initially, when we discover the unique traits of people, groups, communities and societies, they can seem exotic, intriguing or even strange. Photography gives us the opportunity to capture the beauty of differences and diversity, while presenting the similarities in familiar actions, behaviors, emotions and desires.
Ted Stanton is from the USA, but currently lives in Plovdiv. Over time, his work has evolved from studying everyday life in different cultures around the world to documenting global humanitarian efforts and human rights. He works in Plovdiv as a photographer, while conducting seminars and classes in photography. He hopes to soon include photo tours for small groups to help those who want to experience and capture less-visited areas of Southeast Asia.
