The Plovdiv vocal-guitar tandem presents a project with 14 titles on the "Yadroto" stage in Kapana on October 15, admission is free!

Expressive melodies, bright texts and stylish pop, rock and funky arrangements are presented by singer Ilko Vasilev-Bazileo and guitarist Svetlin Staykov in the project "Directions. Author's vocal-guitar concert". It includes 14 songs entirely in Bulgarian. The musical event will take place on October 15 (Saturday) 2022 at 4 p.m. on the open stage "Yadroto" in Kapana and is realized with the support of the Municipality of Plovdiv as part of the Cultural Calendar of the city. Entrance is free.

The songs were created especially for the project "Directions. Author's vocal and guitar concert" by the Plovdiv tandem Ilko Vasilev-Bazileo and Svetlin Staykov and will be performed for the first time during the event. "They are suitable for every age group and are aimed at the widest possible audience," assure the two musicians.

The focus of the "directions" is love, whose ability to change everything leads to the suggestion that more good is yet to come. Ilko Vasilev-Bazileo and Svetlin Staykov greet him with a clearly perceptible smile. With the expressive emotionality and lyricism of the performances, the project "Directions. Author's Vocal-Guitar Concert' opens a wide door with a friendly wink to connoisseurs and admirers of melodic pieces loaded with the potential to become hits.

Among the merits of the author's vocal-guitar concert is the fact that the songs have lyrics in Bulgarian. The music and arrangements are author's and are in harmony both with the modern trends of the world scene and with the native traditions in a modern context.

Ilko Vasilev-Bazileo is a vocal artist performing in the styles of pop, arenb, rock and jazz. He has over 15 years of experience as a singer in piano bars, on club stages and at corporate parties. There are numerous awards and participation in competitions and festivals in Bulgaria. Ilko Vasilev-Bazileo performs original songs in Bulgarian and English. He also writes music and lyrics for other artists. He has participated in various projects – pop-opera vocal trio, vocal-piano and vocal-guitar duets, rock band. He graduated from "Pop and Jazz Performing Arts" at Plovdiv University "Paisiy Hilendarski" and has an educational-scientific degree "doctor" in music.

Svetlin Staykov has 4 author's albums: "Morning", "Colours and Shades", "Crossing Influences", "Made in Maina". He plays the guitar in the jazz formation "Bigband Plovdiv". He performs in various formations at prestigious events such as "Plovdiv Jazz Evenings", "Haskovo Jazz Festival", "Ruse Jazz Festival" and in music clubs in the country. Arranges and composes in various styles. He graduated from the "Hristina Morfova" High School of Music in Stara Zagora and the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Art in Plovdiv. Since 1997, he has been working as a guitar teacher and sound director at the "New Music Center".
