Northern Film Festival “Northern Lights” will take place in Plovdiv from 2nd to 11th of October.

Lovers of the good cinema will be able to watch Scandinavia and the Baltic’s best films.
From 2-nd to 11-th of October LUCKY Cinema House will be host of Northern Film “Northern Lights” festival. It will present 10 of the most attractive titles in the program - a special selection of program of the festival in Sofia. The opening will be followed by a screening of Iceland film "Debauchery max", awarded for Best Actor (Olafur Olafsson Dari) during the festival in Karlovy Vary and the public award of film forum in Cork. The film has 12 nominations for Iceland Film Awards „Edda” and present the life of MP Leyfur Sigurdarson -  Inveterate womanizer known for his alcoholic subordination who is overpersuaded to be treated in a clinic by his friend, Prime Minister of Iceland. Before being publicly Frying, Leyfur invites his friend to an unforgettable feast by time we see his close entourage and we meet with his shocking past.

Among the highlights of the festival is the new film by Soren Kragh – Jacobsen “Time of lynx”. Along with Lars von Trier, Thomas Vinterberg and Kristian Levring, Kragh-Jacobsen is one the emblematic names of manifesto "Dogma 95". The film has 3 nominations for Danish Awards – “Robert” – Best Motion Picture, Best Actress for Sophie Grabyol and Best Supporting Actress for Signe Egholm Olsen. 
On the occasion of 150-th Anniversary of remarkable Norwegian - Edvard Munch, premiere called “The cry of Munch’’ will be shown.Among artists who share what kind of  creative genius is influenced are Liv Ullmann, Marina Abramovic and Tracey Emin.
The winner of two awards at the festival in Venice “Meeting of graduates” will present the new Swedish  Cinema. Among dozens of awards of “Meeting of graduates” are Best Motion Picture of the festival in Brussels, Best Motion Picture of the festival in Dublin, Best Directional Debut of the festival in Stockholm, two awards of the Swedish academy for Best Motion Picture and Best Screenplay, the Youth Jury Award of the festival in Bratislava. 
Cultural Film Center LUCKY  Cinema House was was implemented this year with the financial support of the Municipality of Plovdiv. The program includes the most significant and valuable audience films of the world’s kinoafish.
