After a few years break, the new exhibition of Dimitar Chonov definitely refers to new directions in his work. There is a distinct desire to clean up the excess and chatty from the figures in order to reach the original stylization and obvious symbolism of the compositions. Achieved is an elegant purity of the forms peculiar idealization of creative ideas is exactly original expression. The presence of the author's favorite antique motifs in different ideology and philosophy. Stirred outlines characteristic is much more focused and motivated. 
A series of drawings show us again how good drawer are sculptors.

Dimitar Chonov was born in 1971 in Plovdiv. In 1990, he graduated from High School of Applied Arts "Tcanko Lavrenov" in Plovdiv. In 1997 he graduated from the National Art Academy in Sofia, specialty "Sculpture" in Prof. Gondov. From 2009 to 2013 was chairman of the Society of Plovdiv Artists. He has made eight solo exhibitions and participated in numerous general ones and symposiums in Bulgaria and abroad.
