On 05/04/2016, from 18.00 in Vazrazdane gallery will open an exhibition of paintings by Vladimir Penev, celebrating its 60 th anniversary. The exhibition will run until 25.4.2016.

   The reality is the inspiration for the creation of a large part of my paintings.
"Shore", "Walk", "The Street" are the names of cycles I work for a long
time. For me, they are not only logical, geographical concepts. Like the poet,
who discovers an inner secondary hidden meaning of the word, and those
concepts have their own internal logic and significance.
    Multi-layered reality, different levels of perception of the mundane,
banal, familiar and heavy with another, different particular importance are
the reason for creating these realistic compositions.
    One building, a tree, a human figure have their hidden internal charge
its logic and life. Impressed me external pictorial reality is prompting in
my paintings to strive for consistency drama hidden fabulnost, if you will - subject matter. The purpose of everything is to achieve contact with the hidden ambivalent, subconscious side of things and objects in our surround.
    The outer attractiveness of nudes, flowers, architectural landscapes are
occasion to express their understandings of these paintings, I try to achieve by classical drawing, form and space.
