For the first time this year in Plovdiv is  launched a new, important and prestigious international event in the field of literature. European Writers Meetings are an initiative of Nedialko Slavov and Bojana Apostolova, which are supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv.

The first meeting of the "European Writers Meetings - Plovdiv" with David Foenkinos, September 13-th, Tuesday, at 19:00. Gallery with a permanent exhibition of Encho Pironkov in The Old Town. David Foenkinos is among the most successful and respected French authors - novelist and screenwriter, author of 13 novels, many of which have already been translated into Bulgarian. "Nicety", released in 2009, was honored with ten literary awards and been translated into dozens of languages.
Connoisseurs of quality European Fiction know Foenkinos won "Ryonodo 'and' Goncourt of high school" 2014 for his novel "Charlotte" - stinging memory of artist Charlotte Salomon (1917-1943), murdered in Auschwitz 26 years.
