26 BULGARIAN FESTIVALS WERE AWARDED AN EU QUALITY CERTIFICATE

One Design Week, One Architecture Week and One Dance Week were awarded with the label "European Festival"


On a special ceremony organized from Bulgarian Festival Association (BFA) ON 19-TH OF NOVEMBER,26 Bulgarian Festivals were awarded,won European Quality Certificate - part of the project “Europe For The Festivals”.Festivals for Europe”(EFFE). The Prize “European Festival” is an official admission for European quality.All three projects One – One Design Week; One Architecture Week and One Dance Week are among the winners.”Music days in Balabanov House” is the only one another festival awarded in Plovdiv.The Certificates were handed by Kiril Velchev, Head of Culture in Plovdiv Municipality and Svetlana Koyumdjieva,artistic head menager of OF Plovdiv 2019.
The Festivals successfully passed through really hard stages of evaluation from Bulgarian and international independent jury afterwards.As a part of the new international festival platform , Bulgarian events will be able to successful to implement internationals collaborations and presenting the Bulgarian culture in front of the world. Participation to the event were representatives to all of the EU countries.One Design Week,One Architecture Week and One Dance Week will be included in international festival guide available in paper version and on-line platform on the top festivals in Europe.This makes the whole information about he festivals easily accessible to the public, art area colleagues, public authorities of all levels, sponsors and medias.
The ceremony took place within the international conference of Bulgarian Festival Association (BFA) “Festivals in black and white”,part of project “Bulgarian – Norway partnership for transparent and effective public support of cultural sector in Bulgaria.”The Event was presented by biennial work of BFA towards Implementation the best practices in field of festivals,structured references for a new mechanism for public financing festivals for so-called White Paper.The Document presenting specific reform proposals in mechanisms in public - state and municipal festivals financing, based on comparative analytical reports in respect of Bulgarian and Norwegian experience in financing cultural projects.
