Balkan Crafts Fair starts on May 15 and will last four days. This year, two processions will mark the colorful event which will take place from the Roman stadium to the subway at the end of a small main street, said Tony Simidchieva, chairman of the Plovdiv Regional Crafts Chamber.
"The place has not been chosen at random. Today's small main street "Rayko Daskalov" many years ago was the famous Bullet Khan - the Uzun bazaar. All commercial shops were right there. “So somehow symbolically we will try to go over to the old bazaar Uzun”, added Simidchieva. There will be 71 Bulgarian masters and 25 guests from abroad. Most artists come from neighboring countries - Moldova, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Kosovo and Turkey.
