Ancient theatre

“Aida”  was written in 1870, comissioned by Isma'il Pasha, Khedive of Egypt, in celebration of the opening of the Khedivial Opera House.
“Aida” premiered in Cairo in 1871 and was a tremendous success.  Ever since then it brings joy and leaves the audience in awe with its spectacular set design and amaziang arias.
