Each year curatorial project of the National Autumn Exhibitions in Plovdiv presents trends in Bulgarian contemporary art, working on a particular topic - in 2015 it was "en passant" / "En passant". The curatorial project of the art critic Prof.. Dr. Galina Lardeva includes exhibitions of nine selected Bulgarian author working in the country and abroad.

National autumn exhibitions. Plovdiv 2015

Started in 1967, National Autumn Exhibitions in the Old Town resist in time, consolidated as one of the most prestigious art forums nationwide and representative platform for the Bulgarian fine arts. The main goal of the event is through broad public and professional focus to initiate relevant and valuable ideas about visual art, presenting the best of contemporary trends in painting, graphics and sculpture, while individual exhibitions remain independent and at the same time are subject to the overall concept.
For the third year exhibitions are selected and organized by art director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Galina Lardeva. They are linked in a single curatorial project through which to present trends in contemporary Bulgarian art. In 2015, the forum titled en passant / En passant. It will present selected works of nine Bulgarian author working in the country and abroad.
En Passant is a concept that chooses to think the fine arts as an area of transition: mutual switching between different visual images, but also between subjects and objects of art. This arrangement creates layers of total sensory sensitivities between chess and visual images. As creators of contemporary images and their recipients have creative communication unsustainable. Works by Ann passant seek the territories of non-fixed on flickering and fading, the alternation between a start and immersive monotony of departed from unidirectional causal relationships suggestion.
