With a career spanning over four decades and 9 released albums, Camellia Todorova is one of the most beloved Bulgarian singers. Her excellent vocal technique and unique style of singing, as well as her musical talent, allow her to sing in different styles – jazz, pop, rock, soul, funk and R&B.
Through the years Camellia Todorova took part in many festivals and prestigious events in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Russia, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, Portugal, India, Malta, England and USA.

At the Jazz Yatra festival in Bombai in 1980 Camellia Todorova shared the stage with jazz legends Don Cherry, Albert Mangelsdorf, the Stan Getz trio, Charles Mingus, the Mingus Dinasty. She improvises together with Sarah Vaughan, Miles Davis, Billy Preston, Louie Bellson.

Camellia is the first Bulgarian singer to sign a contract with a Western label – Virgin Records Germany, and the record company released two of her singles – “Bursting at the Seams” (1985) produced by Queen’s Roger Taylor and her version of the classic Aretha Franklin song “Chain of Fools” (1986).

Since 2005 she teaches “Singing and vocal technique” at New Bulgarian University in Sofia.

The motto of Camellia’s show at Plovdiv Jazz Fest 2016 is “More than you know”. The concert includes a selection of jazz standards and evergreens from jazz legends Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, John Lennon and more, all performed with Camellia’s unique interpretation style. Her partner on stage on November 3 will be pianist Angel Zaberski-son.
