The Autumn Salon of Arts Plovdiv 2021 begins - the largest cultural format in the city!

September 1 is approaching and again it will not be an exaggeration to say about Plovdiv that the city is becoming one big stage! From its very beginning, the Autumn Salon of Arts Plovdiv 2021 started, which practically unites numerous festivals, separate events of all genres - music, theater, literature, visual arts, exhibitions, art installations and dozens, dozens of events that last until November.

The Autumn Art Salon in Plovdiv is organized by the Municipality of Plovdiv and partners - cultural institutes, creative guilds, cultural operators and others and is the largest cultural format in the city. This year is its 17th edition!

This year marks the 7th anniversary of winning the title "European Capital of Culture Plovdiv 2019" and this will be celebrated with a special surprise program on September 5 and 6, when is the Day of Plovdiv.

September 1 - Official opening of the Autumn Salon of Arts, Plovdiv, 2021 - "Swan Lake" - an innovative ballet performance of the State Opera - Plovdiv, the lake with the Singing Fountains in Tsar Simeon's Garden. The longest so far, three-day long "WEEKEND IN PLOVDIV" is coming - 17, 18 and 19, September 2021. The fourth edition of the festival will be held during the peak of the tourist season in the city under the hills. The organizers are the Tourism Council - Plovdiv and the Municipality of Plovdiv. The festival is funded by the annual program for tourism development of the Municipality of Plovdiv.

The award ceremony of the winners of the XI NATIONAL POETRY COMPETITION "DOBROMIR TONEV" for authors up to 45 years of age will take place on the eve of the anniversary of the poet's birth - October 9, 2021, Saturday, from 18:00 h., in Cultural Center "Trakart", Plovdiv, "Archaeological" subway.

Awarding the winners of the Lucien Chevallaz​ competition for a project with a contribution to ecology and protection of the green system. The solemn ceremony is on the day of the 100th anniversary of the death of Lucien Chevallaz - 22.10.2021 in front of his monument in Tsar Simeon's Garden.

For the 3rd consecutive year in Plovdiv begins Street Whiskey Festival Kapana, which will be held from 24.09. to 26.09. (Friday - Sunday) in Plovdiv, in Kapana creative district, at 22 Konstantin Stoilov Str.

"Spanish Nights" is the name of a fiery guitar concert with the participation of world-famous French guitarist and composer Arnaud DUMOND, flamenco guitarist Elena San Román and the 14 guitars of the ACADEMIKA ensemble at AMTII-Plovdiv, which Plovdiv residents will hear and see on September 17 at 19.00 h. in the Hall of Culture "Boris Hristov". The best musical works created over the centuries by and for Spain - Isaac ALBENITZ, Joaquin RODRIGO, Francisco TAREGA, Georges Bizet and others.

The long-awaited premiere of the theatrical production "The Bell", Plovdiv residents will see on 24.09.2021 at 20:00 h. at the Ancient Theater. "The Bell" is based on the novel of the same name by Nedyalko Slavov and received its first realization on stage. Directing, dramaturgy and performance: Deyan Donkov. The project is an idea of ​​"11" Ltd. and is part of the program "Heritage" of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019.

The legendary Bulgarian rock band "Factor" will have an opening concert on their national tour, which starts on the eve of the Day of the Unification of Bulgaria from our cultural capital - Plovdiv. Together with the legends from "Factor" on the stage of the Summer Theater in Plovdiv on September 5 you will see the world-renowned hereditary Plovdiv musician, pianist and composer of classical, pop, rock and jazz music - Stoitz Gadev, the sensational young rock band "Sutura Band".

Ruslan Maynov presents his favorite Russian songs on September 8 at the Bunardzhika Summer Theater.

The "Four Italian Tenors" will perform another remarkable concert in the city under the hills on September 3 at the Bunardzhika Summer Theater. The young singers return to the Bulgarian stage with the concert-performance "VIVA ITALIA".
