FESTIVE PROGRAMME
on the occasion of the Day of the city of Plovdiv and
the 7th anniversary of the announcement of Plovdiv as
European Capital of Culture for 2019

Ivan Vazov Street becomes a PEDESTRIAN ZONE for two days on the occasion of the city holidays - September 5 and 6. Plovdiv loves its streets, and everyone loves Plovdiv, so we celebrate # TOGETHER.

On an open stage, located in the section between Avksentiy Veleshki Street and Central Square, Plovdiv residents and guests will be able to enjoy a themed music program, an eccentric and curious collection of retro cars, and meet the giant family of "Pedestrian Zone" - the premiere open-air performance for children and adults of the State Puppet Theater Plovdiv. The wonderful architecture and atmosphere of one of the emblematic streets in Plovdiv will contribute to the full experience.

21:00 h. - Meeting with Grandpa Yozhi - musical evening with the music of Yosif Tsankov on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the composer. With the participation of Mihail Yosifov (trumpet) and Velislav Stoyanov (trombone), and Dimitar Lyolev (saxophone), Milen Kukosharov (keyboard), Daniele Febbo (double bass) and Borislav Petrov (drums).
