Solstafir will be a special guest at the Apocalyptica concert in Bulgaria. The show has a new date - September 3, 2022.

The concert of Finnish metal cellists Apocalyptica in Plovdiv will take place on September 3, 2022 at the Summer Theatre in the city. The date change is due to Apocalyptica's engagement in the USA in mid-September 2022.

With the date change comes super news for the event's special guests. It's the post-metal outfit from Iceland, Solstafir! They come at the invitation of EventEase for an exclusive show, with no other performances planned in the region, except in Plovdiv and Bucharest. We worked hard to offer something more to Bulgarian fans and we are happy to present you the renewed poster of the event - Apocalyptica with special guest Solstafir!

Solstafir are bold experimenters with a unique style that has changed over the years and a recognisable sound that has earned them a special place in the modern metal scene. The band has a distinct identity and vibe that makes them stand out from the general mainstream and hard to wear on style labels.

In November 2020, the Icelanders released via Season of Mist their seventh studio album, titled Endless Twilight of Codependent Love. Songs from it, as well as classics by the band, will be featured in the hour-plus long set of their performance in Plovdiv.

With a fine sense of music, the band enriches the melancholic post-metal with melodies that paint expressionistic high-impact musical pictures with guitar lines that chill with the coldness of metal from the North.

Tickets already purchased for Apocalyptica's show are valid for the new date with no need to re-certification. Anyone unable to attend on the originally announced date of September 16 will be able to return their ticket and will be refunded. Venue - Plovdiv Summer Theatre. The originally announced venue - Ancient Theatre has been changed on 28.10.2021 due to technical reasons related to the theatre's programme. All already purchased tickets are valid without the need for re-verification and people will be accommodated in the same sectors and price categories. Summer Theatre Plovdiv is located in Bunardzhika Park in the city centre and offers a large stage, amphitheatrical seating arrangement, lots of greenery and has excellent acoustics and a cosy atmosphere.

It's been 25 years since the release of the debut album by Finnish headbang cellists Apocalyptica, entitled Plays Metallica by Four Cellos (Mercury Records)...
It's been 22 years since the magical first Apocalyptica concert in Bulgaria. It took place at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv in 1999 and won fans in the country that remember that concert to this day. Over the years, the graduates of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki followed their own path, which proved to be successful as a career direction.
In 2022, the grown-up Apocalyptica return to the city of hills for another meeting under the stars with their fans here. It will take place in September in Plovdiv at the invitation of EventEase.
Today, Apocalyptica are still a breath of fresh air with their original approach to musicianship, professionalism in the arrangements of their music and their heartfelt performances on stage. Indeed-the energy and charge that this respectable classical instrument, the cello, brings, combined with musicians whose hearts burn with the flame of metal, is in itself a prerequisite for an explosive show.
In the pandemic year 2020, the band released a ninth studio album entitled Cell-0 (Silver Lining Music)... So it's time for a show with a refreshed setlist of new compositions - we've got it.
