Route I (References)
"THINKING OF PLOVDIV"

September 18, 2021 (Saturday), 10:30 a.m.
START POINT
: In front of Lamartine House
GUIDE: Assoc. Prof. Dr. MLADEN VLASHKI - university lecturer, literary historian, critic and journalist. Since April 2018 he has been a lecturer in Bulgarian language, literature and culture at the Slavic Seminar of the University of Freiburg. He has published five books on Bulgarian literature and its connections with German culture and literature.
Publisher-editor of the literary magazine "Page", author and host of the show for books and literature "Prege" on BNR-Plovdiv. For his educational, literary-critical and journalistic activity he has been awarded a number of national and other awards.
With the participation of the actor PETAR TOSKOV.

The route combines Plovdiv spaces and their literary images. It does not trace a thematic or historically defined area, but seeks to suggest the intertwining of time layers in the Plovdiv spaces - as they are reflected in the literature. The texts are from different generations of authors.
• On Knyaz Tseretelev Street and Hemus Street (Nedyalko Slavov "Faustino")
• Ancient theater (view from Dimitar Kirkov's "Hill")
• In the yard of the church "The Holy Assumption Cathedral (Uspenie Bogorodichno church)” to the other side of the Tunnel ("Terrace" by Ivan Teofilov)
• Direction to Dzhumaya Square along the Seventh Hill and Ancient Stadium (Yordan Velchev's Roman Stadium) to the former Cristal Club ("napkin poetry" from Georgi Raychevski's Grand Cafe Crystal and memories of Zdravko Popov)
• Along Tsaribrod Street to the lower end of Dzumaya Square, in front of the former Antique Bookstore (Ivan Teofilov "Dzumayata" and Ivan Valev from "The Hidden Garden")
• On Hristo G. Danov Street (from Ivan Vazov's "New Land"); to the entrance of the Dondukov Garden (Zachary Stoyanov from "Chardafon the Great")
• Tsar Kaloyan Square (Orta Cemetery and view of Marasha - from "Far from Toledo" by Angel Wagenstein)
• Final: poems about Plovdiv by Alexander Sekulov and Yordan Velchev

Route II (Fine Arts)
"THRESHOLDS AND SCARS" (National Autumn Exhibitions 2021, Plovdiv)
September 19 (Sunday), 11:00 a.m.
START POINT
: Balabanov House, Old Town
GUIDE: Prof. Dr. GALINA LARDEVA - Artistic Director of the National Autumn Exhibitions - Plovdiv 2021, Doctor of Arts, Vice-Rector for Research and Artistic Activity of AMTII "Prof. Asen Diamandiev” in Plovdiv, lecturer in History of Fine Arts and Contemporary Plastic Culture, curator of numerous national and international exhibitions and winner of several national awards.

The route will traditionally present this year's edition of the National Autumn Exhibitions, which in 2021 will be held under the title "Thresholds and Scars". Nine authors exhibit their works in the courtyards and houses of the Old Town - Balabanov House, Hindliyan House and the Permanent Exhibition of Mexican Art.
Participants in the route will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of painters SVETOZAR BENCHEV, YAVORA PETROVA, DIMITAR HRISTOVICH, ANGEL GESHEV (Balabanov house), NORA AMPOVA (Permanent exhibition of Mexican art). Photographic exhibitions of LILYANA KARADZHOVA and MIROSLAV ZHIVKOV are exhibited in Hindliyan House, where in the yard you can see graphics by VENTSISLAV SHISHKOV. Interesting sculptures by DANIEL MIRCHEV-DANA are exhibited in the open in the yard of the Permanent Exhibition Mexican Art. Organizers of the exhibitions are the Municipality of Plovdiv, Municipal Institute "Ancient Plovdiv" and the Culture and Modernity Foundation, with the support of KCM 2000 AD - Plovdiv, City Gallery of Fine Arts Plovdiv, Eterna Gallery - Plovdiv.

Route III (Fine Arts)
HISTORY OF BULGARIAN FINE ART

GUIDE: Prof. Dr. GALINA LARDEVA - Artistic Director of the National Autumn Exhibitions - Plovdiv 2021, Doctor of Arts, Vice-Rector for Research and Artistic Activity of AMTII "Prof. Asen Diamandiev” in Plovdiv, lecturer in History of Fine Arts and Contemporary Plastic Culture, curator of numerous national and international exhibitions and winner of several national awards.

The route includes a tour of the rich exhibition of paintings and sculptures by over 100 artists who have worked from the mid-nineteenth century to the present day. Participants in the tour will be able to see remarkable works of prominent artists such as: Ivan Angelov, Dimo ​​Sotirov, Ivan Penkov, Vasil Zahariev, Krassimir Dzhidrov, Alexander Milenkov, Vasil Chakarov, Dimitar Lalev, Georgi Trifonov, Atanas Sharenkov, Desislava Mincheva, Kolyo Karamfilov and etc. The works are arranged chronologically, and their authors are presented with quotations and biographies.
The art critic Prof. Dr. Galina Lardeva will follow the development of the processes in Bulgarian art and its prominent representatives from the XIX to the XXI century, who left a lasting mark in the Bulgarian fine arts.
The house in which the gallery is located is a cultural monument and is located at the very beginning of the Old Town in Plovdiv. The building has been completely restored, it preserves the life of the town house from the early years of the 20th century. Guests will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the interior, which has preserved the splendor of old furniture and handmade carpets.

"PLOVDIV AMARKORD" (Memoirs for Plovdiv)

MODERATOR: Assoc. Prof. Dr. MLADEN VLASHKI - university lecturer, literary historian, critic and journalist. • Through the hill "Sahat Tepe" (Danov hill) in the direction of the former "Grape Market" (Asen Hristoforov "A dusty square" and Rashko Sugarev from "A lesson in topographic anatomy")
• Through the square in front of RTC (memories of the House of Arts and the Press (former cinema "Culture", now the building of BNR - Plovdiv) and the garden next to the Military Club (for its confectionery as an early center of Plovdiv bohemia - memories of Georgi Raichevski) and memories for Stantsionna Street (today Ivan Vazov Street, by Lyuben Stanev, Vera Mutafchieva, etc.)
