An exhibition at the Hall of Culture presents emblematic places and facts about the "Glavnata" (the Main Street) of Plovdiv

An exhibition presenting the new cultural route "Glavnata" (the Main Street) ​ was opened on November 5, 2021 in the lobby of the 1st floor of the Hall of Culture "Boris Hristov". The route was created according to a project, which includes a web application https://www.glavnata.eu/, a book - catalog and exhibition. It is implemented by the Pro Libris Foundation with the financial support of the Municipality of Plovdiv as part of the Cultural Calendar of the city for 2021. Project partners are the Association "Active Support for Creativity". Next to each described object in the exhibition and in the catalog there is a QR code, which leads to the official site of the cultural route "Glavnata" (the Main Street). It is bilingual and allows foreign tourists to take advantage of the information.

There are 5 topographic cores in the route "Glavnata" (the Main Street): "Central Square", "Main Street", "Roman Stadium Square", "Little Main Street" and "Pedestrian Bridge". These cores create the basic structure, and they define the sites, which are presented with digital images, graphics and annotations. On this basis, a web application was created: "Cultural route "Glavnata" in Bulgarian and English, with a map of the route and interactive links to information about each of the sites that draw the different historical layers - from Antiquity to the modern city.
