From 03 to 09 December 2021 in Plovdiv for the 26th time will be held the Festival of Bulgarian documentary and animated cinema "Golden Rhyton". The screenings are in LUCKY House of Cinema, in the building of the House of Science and Technology, Plovdiv, with free entrance.

The festival presents the production of the year, after its previous edition in 2020. There are two competitions - for documentary and for animated cinema. The films produced with the financial support of National Fim Centre are included in the competition, all others are subject to internal selection to determine the program in which to be presented.

Dear colleagues,
In connection with the complex pandemic situation in the country, as well as with the order issued by the Minister of Health (RD No.01-890 / 03.11.2021) for the introduction of temporary anti-epidemic measures from 4 to 30 November 2021, after an in-depth analysis and due to uncertainty in the next months, we decided to postpone the 26th festival of Bulgarian documentary and animated cinema "Golden Rhyton" - Plovdiv. The preparation of the festival is in an advanced stage, but the impossibility to share the event live with the dedicated audience calls into question the expediency of the investment at this time.
The National Fim Centre team thanks the Municipality of Plovdiv, Lucky Cinema - House of Cinema and all partners for their understanding.
The team thanks and apologizes to the producers and authors of films for the impossibility to show their works on the big screen in Plovdiv in early December 2021. We are sure that in the near future we will be able to continue with the organization of the festival to present in its program the best of the Bulgarian animated and documentary cinema.
