Fado is the soul of Portugal, and Carminho has been proclaimed the most beautiful voice of fado! An exclusive authentic experience awaits Plovdiv and the guests of the city on June 18, 2022. Ancient theater will welcome the singer, who first conquered her homeland, and later gained impressive popularity in Brazil and around the world.

Maria Carmo Carvalo de Andrade, as well as the real name of the singer known to her audience as Carminho, is the most recognizable Portuguese artist. Her albums have reached platinum, she has performed concerts all over the world, and her passionate singles occupy leading positions in world charts! Carminho is a girl who looks equally good on the covers of music and fashion magazines. The upcoming concert at the Ancient Theater in Plovdiv will deserve a place in her dizzying career.

Carminho and her band will take the stage at 7.30 pm to immerse the audience in "Saudi" - the nostalgia for love that is difficult to translate into another language or musical style… or in other words - FADO!

Carminho was born to the sounds of guitars and fado songs. The daughter of the famous singer Teresa Siqueira, she began singing in front of an audience at the age of twelve. Suggestions for recording followed, but she postponed for several years, realizing that singing required maturity, which she did not yet possess.

She graduated with a degree in Marketing and Advertising, traveled around the world as a participant in various humanitarian missions and gained experience and returned to Lisbon, determined to devote herself entirely to artistic careers.

Her debut album "Fado" is an absolute sensation! The year is 2009 - it has reached platinum status, and the British magazine "Songlines" puts it at number one in its annual rankings!

Four more super successful albums follow, concerts all over the world and first places in the charts. Life reveals Carminho as a brave and profound artist who never forgets his roots and uses a musical language with a centuries-old history, but understandable to her generation.

The concert is carried out with the support and partnership of the Municipality of Plovdiv, organized by Blue Hills Evens and is part of the Music of the Ages forum.
