Ivelina Stoyanova with her diploma photography exhibit at Mexican Art Permanent Exhibition

On March 11 at 18:00 in the Mexican Art Permanent Exhibition of the City Gallery of Fine Arts - Plovdiv (11 Altin Gidikov St) the young photographer Ivelina Stoyanova will present her diploma exhibition #REARRANGEMENT. Here is what Ivelina shares about the exhibit concept:

#REARRANGEMENT is a photographic experiment in which every minimal change in our position as observers leads to the collapse of the image or to its new reconstruction in a completely rearranged way - a reminder of the philosophical search for how real the world we see is, or whether, subject to our personal perceptions, we build our own realities.

The series of a single image, multiplied repeatedly, goes through many different visual transformations to obtain an independent interpretation and projection in each viewer. This is the reason why the hashtag sign is present in the title of the exhibition, the symbol which is so typical of our time, which encourages us to participate, to involve ourselves as an audience in the process of creating an individual context around the subject.

Different photographic processes and media are used. Techniques from the 19th century meet new forms to delineate a bridge fusing past and present. A play with movement, space and perspectives where layers are overlaid, intertwined or diverged to bring out the different faces that live within us.

The exhibition will be on view until March 30.
