THE OLD TOWN OF PLOVDIV
Young Wine Parade is pleased to invite you to the fourteenth edition of the festival, which will be held on November 25, 26 and 27 in our beloved Old Town of Plovdiv.
Along the cobbled streets that are preserving the atmosphere of eras that have gone by, under the magical sky of the Old Town, you will find seventeen locations where you can taste more than 250 types of first-class Bulgarian wines, as well as food to pair them with.
The opening of the "Young Wine Parade" is on 25 November (Friday) at 13.00 from the square in front of the Plovdiv Municipality, where the "Dionysius Procession" will start. With music, songs and dances, the ensemble "Thrace" will lead the wine lovers to the beginning of the Old Town. On Suborna str. at 14.00. God Dionysus will open the first barrel of young wine, vintage 2022 of the winery Villa Justina, gold medalist of the previous edition. A surprise for all attendees will be a brand new barrel, branded with the name of the festival. "With a cheer" together the wine tastings will be launched.

The opening is on November 25 (Friday). According to tradition, from the square in front of the Plovdiv Municipality at 13:00, the ‘Dionysian Procession’ and the ‘Thrace’ ensemble will lead all wine lovers to the beginning of the Old Town, where at 14:00 God Dionysus will open the first cask of young wine of a wine cellar - gold medalist from the previous edition.
The wine fiesta will continue for three days:
On November 25 - from 14:00 until 18:00 h.
On November 26 - from 11:00 until 18:00 h.
On November 27 - from 11:00 until 17:00 h.

25 November (Friday)
13 ч. - "Dionysian Procession", accompanied by the ensemble "Thrace" and the god Dionysus.
Stefan Stambolov sq. in front of Plovdiv Municipality;
14 ч. - Official opening with the participation of the Thrace Ensemble and official guests. Opening of the first barrel of the god Dionysus. The beginning of the Old Town / 2-4 Soborna str./. In case of bad weather at the Roman Stadium;
14 ч. - Start of wine tasting;
16 ч. - Science Point - Fun experiments with wine components / Elysium Foundation, Old Town, Elysium str., Old Town, Elysium Museum, 2 Dusho Hadjidekov Street/. Suitable for children up to 12 years;
Expect music and dancing in the festival locations;
6 pm - End of wine tasting in the Old Town.
26 November (Saturday)
11 ч. - Start of wine tastings in the Old Town
11 ч. - Virtual presentation "Touching the Master". The stand of "BM Vision" in the Balabanov House. /Repeat at 16:00 /;
12 ч. - Paint a picture with wine. The masterclass will be led by Philip Nigokhosyan. Visit the booth at 5 p.m. and enjoy fine art with a glass of wine. Atanas Krastev Square /Lapidarium/;
13 ч. - Presentation on "Tasting Profession" with Assoc. Hristo Spasov. Ivan Chernozemski House;
16 ч. - Classical concert by Serge-Etienne Freitag, baritone (Switzerland) and Andrea Yermini, piano (Switzerland). Ivan Chernozemsky House;
Expect throughout the day in the festival locations performances of the girls' choir formation "Evmolpia";
18 ч. - End of wine tastings in the Old Town.
19 ч. - Classical concert with a glass of wine, festival "Trimontiada". First studio of Radio Plovdiv.
27 November (Sunday)
11 ч. - Start of wine tastings in the Old Town;
12 ч. - Classical concert of the Pesante Quartet - Shostakovich - Quartet No. 3. /Elysium Foundation, Old Town, 2 Dusho Hadjidekov str./;
14 ч. - Presentation of the project of the Union of Oenologists in Bulgaria "Creating a wheel of flavours of Mavrud wine" with Lambrin Topuzliev. Ivan Chernozemski House;
18 ч. - End of wine tastings. See you soon.
More activities during the "Young Wine Parade":
Interactive Radio Festival "Trimontiada". The event will take place in the first studio of Radio Plovdiv / 8 Naiden Gerov str./. On 26 November /Saturday/ at 7 pm and 27 November /Sunday/ at 4 pm. Free entrance.
Watch for free the latest film about Atanas Krastev - Nacho Kultura - "One Hundred Years I've Been Kicking Stones" at the following sites of the Municipal Institute "Ancient Plovdiv". Opening hours from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
