Mario Basel with his debut exhibition in the City Gallery of Fine Arts - Plovdiv

From 25 March to 13 April, the young graphic artist Mario Bazel will make his solo debut at the City Gallery of Fine Arts. On the first floor of the Temporary Exhibition Halls (15 Knyaz Alexander I Street) he will show nearly 60 graphic works - prints (engravings on wood, PVC and other surfaces) and drawings in ink and pen. About his exhibition project "Transition in Space", the artist shares:

"Art for me is expressed in emotion translated into form and subjects. It is a search for the feeling of vibration, for an invisible movement, a form that breaks its own boundaries, a brief moment that remains eternally imprinted in space."

Mario Basel was born 17.03.1988 in Burgas but grew up in Denmark. His passion for art brought him to Plovdiv, where in 2018 he graduated as a Master's student with a degree in Graphic Arts at AMTII Prof. Assen Diamandiev - Plovdiv. His Bachelor's degree in "Pedagogy of Fine Arts Education - Graphics" (2016) is from the same university. During his studies he bacame involved in the artistic life of the city. His current exhibition is his first major solo show.
