The seventh edition of the documentary film festival dedicated to art, Master of Art Film Festival 2022 - Plovdiv Edition opens on the 8th and will continue until the 21st of April at the Lucky House of Cinema.

The official start at 6:30 p.m. at Lucky House of Cinema will be the screening of the American film KURT VONNEGUT: UNSTUCK IN TIME.

Work on this film began 39 years ago when the then young director Robert Wade wrote a letter to his literary idol, suggesting he make a film about him. Filming began in 1988 and the friendship that Wade and Vonnegut formed over the decades is showcased in the film. KURT VONNEGUT: UNSTUCK IN TIME is first and foremost a biography of a beloved American author. The film is both a tribute to the great writer and an adept introduction to his world for the uninitiated.

Another highlight in the early days of the festival is the film KUBRICK BY KUBRICK by French director Gregory Monroe. The film is a rare transcendent journey through the life and films of the legendary Stanley Kubrick as we have not seen them before. The film contains unknown interviews with the genius. In 2021, KUBRICK BY KUBRICK won the International Emmy Award for Arts Programming.
