Kalina Mavrodieva and Yuliy Takov present "Steps in Memory" in Kapana Gallery
On 5 May at 18:00 in Kapana Gallery opens the joint exhibition "Steps in Memory" by Kalina Mavrodieva and Yuliy Takov. The path in art of both of them starts from Plovdiv. For Kalina - from the National Art School "Tsanko Lavrenov" (2007), and for Yuliy - from the National High School for Performing and Screen Arts (1991). Then they both studied in Sofia, where they live and work now. Yuliy Takov graduated from the Private Art Academy "Jules Pasquin" in the class of prof. Kalina Mavrodieva graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Textiles and a Master's degree in Painting under prof. Prof. Andrey Daniel at the National Academy of Arts.
In "Steps in Memory" the authors will present several cycles of paintings and drawings that each of them has created in the last ten years. Their visit to Plovdiv is their most comprehensive joint presentation since 2019, when their joint appearances began.
The exhibition is with free entrance and can be seen until 2 June.
