On 20 May (Friday) from 09:00 - 14:00 International Fair Plovdiv will host a conference on "Digital Plovdiv -The smart city Responsible and sustainable solutions for smart growth".
Guided by the principle that digital transformation means less bureaucracy, less corruption and more efficient spending of public money Plovdiv Municipality, together with the Communications Regulation Commission, is organizing the forum, the theme of which will be e-government and the transformation of Plovdiv into a "Smart City".
 "Smart cities have a beginning, but not an end. It is a constant evolution that allows smarter governance, improving public welfare and supporting the development of the technology industry." 
Through a large-scale, long-term development and modernization (digitalization) of the public and in particular the municipal administration of the city of Plovdiv, the holding of the event will support innovation and adaptation of new technologies, ensuring complementarity between public and private capacities. During the conference, the awareness of citizens, businesses, state and local authorities on the application of innovation and technology in the life of a city to make it "smart" will be strengthened.
The event is free to attend, but pre-registration is required at www.digitalplovdiv.bg and will be streamed live on the Facebook pages of Plovdiv Municipality and Plovdiv City Council.
