Еxhibition "Book and Font. Tradition and Modernity"
From 10 to 30 June 2022 in the exhibition space of the National Library "Ivan Vazov" - Plovdiv, central lobby, will be on display the exhibition "Book and Font. Tradition and Modernity", created under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Kristina Borisova-Ilieva. She asks questions like "Are the fonts we use appropriate?", "Isn't it better to switch to the Bulgarian form of the Cyrillic alphabet?", "Do we know where to download it to our computer?"... As a voice shares. Polly Mukanova, in the exhibition one can see the font in its real use in book publishing. This event is realized with the assistance of the National Fund "Culture" under the program "One-year targeted subsidy to support the activities of state, municipal and regional institutes for the creation, preservation and dissemination of works of art and culture, as well as for the preservation and promotion of cultural and historical heritage" /financial support compensates part of the already paid electricity costs of the organization/.
