The Municipality of Plovdiv and Miracle Ikebana invite you to Ikebana and the Land of the Sun, an event of the program for the upcoming celebration of the 50th anniversary of the twinning of the cities of Plovdiv and Okayama. From 15 to 19 July 2022. in the House of Culture "Boris Hristov" you will be able to see an exhibition of ikebana, see a demonstration of how to make ikebana, lectures and talks and join ikebana workshops.
Okayama Prefecture is known as the Land of the Sun, so for the exhibition we will make compositions in warm, summer, sunny colors. We will dedicate a corner of Korakuen, one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, located in Okayama.
Miroslava Ivanova Hosen, ikebana artist and 3rd degree teacher (Sankiu Shihan) from the world's most modern ikebana school, Sogetsu School of Ikebana, will demonstrate ikebana during the official opening of the exhibition.
The creators of the exhibition are Miroslava Ivanova and her students.

✅ July 15 (Friday) - July 19 (Tuesday), the lobby of the House of Culture "Boris Hristov"
18:00 - Official opening of the exhibition "Ikebana and the Land of the Sun" with a demonstration of ikebana. The exhibition will contain about 15 ikebana compositions, as well as two / three large compositions. Admission is free.
✅ July 16 (Saturday), the lobby of the House of Culture "Boris Hristov"
11:00 - 13:00 - Ikebana workshop for children, free entrance. During these workshops, participants will learn about this art in detail and make their "First Ikebana". Admission is free. Pre-registration at https://miracleikebana.com/ or on site;
15:00 - 17:00 - Ikebana workshop for adults. Admission is free. Pre-registration at https://miracleikebana.com/ or on site.

Miroslava Ivanova has been actively involved in the art of ikebana for 9 years. After undergoing serious training at Sogetsu School, she became a licensed ikebana teacher with the personal name Hosen. In 2018 continues his studies in Tokyo with a master instructor at Sogetsu headquarters - Eiko Sumura Sensei. She is the founder of Miracle Ikebana and is dedicated to promoting the art of ikebana in Bulgaria, making trainings, exhibitions and event decoration.
