70 years of the State Folklore Ensemble "Philip Kutev"

Founded in 1951 by the composer Filip Kutev, the ensemble revives, preserves, creatively interprets and promotes Bulgarian folk culture with concerts around the world. The 70-year history of the state folklore ensemble "Philip Kutev" has given us many reasons for pride, and each of its new performances is a real celebration.

The consecutive three concerts with three different programs in mid-February in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture, guarantees success in the national tour of the emblem of folk art in 2022.

With a team of over 80 people, our national folklore ensemble will realize anniversary concerts outside the city of Sofia and in the first group are the cities of Shumen on April 7 with the participation of DTA "Veselyache", Veliko Tarnovo on April 8 and Ruse on April 9 with special participation of FTT "Naiden Kirov".

In September, concerts will take place on September 27 at the Ancient Theater in Plovdiv, starting at 8 p.m.

The jubilee year will end on December 4 with a fourth concert in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture and a fourth different program, after the trilogy in February.
