The 185th anniversary of the birth of the Apostle of Freedom will be commemorated in Plovdiv on July 18, 2022, Monday, at 10:00 a.m., with a pilgrimage to the monument of Vasil Levski on the central alley of Bunardjika and the laying of wreaths and flowers.

Rumyana Deneva, a student in the 11th grade of OMG "Acad. Kiril Popov" Plovdiv, participant in the National Project "People's Awakeners and Me".

Zlatko Pavlov will host the celebration. Traditionally, representative formations from the Plovdiv garrison, a military brass band, wreath-bearers, members of the Vasil Levski Municipal Committee and the Patriotic Committee participate in the ceremony.

The city-wide celebration of the 185th anniversary of the birth of Vasil Levski will include: People's representatives from the city of Plovdiv, the Mayor of the Municipality of Plovdiv, the Regional Governor, the Chairman of the Municipal Council, the Commander of the Special Operations Forces and the Chief of Garrison Plovdiv, honorary consuls , municipal councilors, deputy mayors and representatives from the Municipality and regional town halls, the Public Mediator for the Municipality of Plovdiv, representatives of political and public organizations, the members of the Vasil Levski Municipal Committee and the Patriotism Committee, citizens and the media.
