XII National Poetry Competition "Dobromir Tonev" - for authors up to 45 years of age

The poetry competition "Dobromir Tonev" is anonymous, the topic is free. Each participant can present one to three poems. You can apply only with works that have not been published in print or internet publications at the time of the announcement of the competition, and with which the applicant has not participated in other similar competitions.

Those interested should send their works by September 15, 2022, inclusive, to the address: Plovdiv 4000, Stefan Stambolov Sq. 1, Plovdiv Municipality, Department of Culture, Archeology and Cultural Heritage for the Dobromir Tonev Poetry Competition . (The date of the postmark on the envelope is valid.)

Entries must be placed in a large postal envelope containing, respectively:

• the poems (unsigned), printed in triplicate;

• a smaller, unsigned, sealed envelope with the participant's personal data: the three names, social security number, permanent address, email and contact phone number, a brief biography, as well as the titles of the poems with which he participated. If some of the works are untitled, the first line of the work is entered instead of the title.

Submitted works, as well as the details of the small envelope, must be written on a computer. Candidates who have not complied with the above conditions will not be allowed to participate.

The prize fund provided by the Municipality of Plovdiv and partners is as follows:

From the Municipality of Plovdiv:

- First prize – BGN 600 and a certificate

- Second prize – BGN 400 and a certificate

- Third prize – BGN 200 and a certificate

Special rewards from partners:

- Cash prize - BGN 200 and a diploma, provided by the Faculty of Philology of the PU "P. Hilendarski". The award will be presented by the vice-dean of the faculty.

- Special award for a young poet - BGN 300, provided by Radio Plovdiv;

- Overnight stay for two at Odeon Hotel - Plovdiv.

The awarding ceremony for the winners of the competition will take place on the day of the anniversary of the poet's birth - October 15, 2022, Saturday, at 6:30 p.m., at the Trakart Cultural Center, Plovdiv. The entry is free!

The organizers do not bear the expenses related to the travel, stay and overnight stay of the participants from other settlements invited to receive the prizes.

Manuscripts are not returnable.
