Street Art Festival 6Fest Autumn 2022
Open public spaces, Plovdiv

The twelfth edition of the 6Fest Street Arts Festival starts on September 27 and will continue until October 1, 2022 in Plovdiv with events in Bunardzhik, Sahat Tepe, Old Town, Kapana, Hlavna and Tsar Simeonova Garden. Entrance to all events is free. The event is part of the Cultural Calendar of Plovdiv and is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv and the National Culture Fund. For the first time 6Fest is also part of the Autumn Arts Salon Plovdiv 2022.

The edition is thematically focused on music of different genres - pop, rock, jazz, baroque music. We will see well-known performers as street musicians, as well as local and youth formations. One of the aims of 6Fest is to support and promote the very artists of the city in which it takes place. It's no coincidence that the locations are different every day - the idea of 6Fest is to enliven iconic places of Plovdiv with art.

The first concert of the festival is by Ivo Dimchev on 27 September (Tuesday) at 18:00. For a contemporary provocative artist like him, the festival chooses a more unconventional location, which, however, is increasingly developing as a place for music - at the top of Bunardzhika Hill. Ivo Dimchev is a choreographer, dancer, director and singer. Even in the months of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has not stopped creating and performing in a different and alternative way that is inherent to his overall work - online and at home.

Due to bad weather, Ivo Dimchev's concert at the top of Bunardzhik will take place at the Bee Bop Café. The café opens at 18:00 and the event starts at 19:00! Admission is free!

On September 28 (Wednesday) at 18:00. The Viennese Pavilion in the Tsar Simeon Garden will welcome "Just Bossa". Trombonist Veleslav (Vili) Stoyanov will present for the first time in Plovdiv his initiative to breathe new life into the musical legacy of the great Bulgarian composer and his grandfather Joseph Tsankov.

On 29 September (Thursday) we are expecting two ladies' concerts and the venue is Danov Hill (Sakhat Tepe), just below the Clock Tower. At 6pm the festival starts with Milenita, a pop and jazz singer, but who has also had TV and film roles. In 2004, Milenita wrote three of the songs for director Zornitsa Sofia's debut film "Mila from Mars", which won an award at the Sarajevo International Film Festival that year. Her first album "Do it Again" was released in 2005. Immediately after her, at 19:00 is the performance of Mila Robert - actress and singer. Mila's songs are the soundtrack of various films by young directors. Her debut album "Egotrip" will be released in December 2020.

6Fest dedicates September 30 to the bands, and the venue is the "Core" stage in Kapana. At 6pm, the festival kicks off with Le'Push. Ivan Lazarov and Momchil Atanasov have been playing together since school. They have been performing under the name Le' Push since 2017. The band is currently working on their second studio album. At 6Fest they will be together with the well-known to the Plovdiv audience percussionist Boyan Todorov (Puffy) and will present their music acoustically. At 19:00 the band "Taralestha" will take the stage. Dimitar (Mitko) Taralezhkov is a Bulgarian director and musician, bard. He graduated in Film and Television Directing at New Bulgarian University. He is part of the independent director group "Bidon Film", together with Oleg Konstantinov and Nikola Boshnakov. But Taralezhkov is also a poet with a guitar. At first he performed his songs independently, and now he performs together with his band "Taraleshta".

IMPORTANT!

The participation of the band " Taraleshta" at 6Fest Streets Art Festival is postponed to a new date due to health reasons of a member of the band. Information about the new date will be announced on the festival website and social networks. The concert of the band "Le'Push" will take place as planned - on the stage "The Core" in the creative quarter "Kapana".

6Fest Festival of Street Arts has announced a new date for the participation of the band "Taraleshta" and Mitko Taralezhkov in its program - on October 14 at 20:00 on Doctor Georgi Valkovic street. In the last event of 6Fest, visitors of Kapana between 7 and 8 pm will witness surprising jazz flashmobs featuring Venelin Georgiev, Ivan Melin and Tsenko Melin from Maritza Brass Band. The orchestra was founded in 2015 by saxophonist Venelin Georgiev.
