OPENING OF THE AUTUMN SALON OF ARTS PLOVDIV 2022
KALEIDOSCOPE OF EMOTIONS

If the summer belongs to the sea, the winter to the mountains, well Autumn belongs to Plovdiv and it is always ready to fill the senses with a spectacular, diverse, multi-genre, creative, loving, provocative and engaging cultural event.
This year the Opening of the Autumn Salon of Arts Plovdiv 2022 is under the motto ‘Kaleidoscope of Emotions’ and its special host is the Art Academy ‘prof. Asen Diamandiev’ Plovdiv in partnership with the Cultural Department of Plovdiv Municipality and the ‘Art and Education’ Consortium, State Opera Plovdiv and State Puppet Theatre Plovdiv.
The 1st September 2022 comes for the citizens and guests of Plovdiv with several traditional and remarkable events from the Cultural Calendar, and to be aligned with the natural and cultural treasures and the huge attractive power Plovdiv has, the official opening of the Autumn Salon of the Arts unites 5 different locations in the active centre, each hosting different performances and a mixture of genres and styles. All of them will run several times thus making the night long and delightful and inviting the audiences to flow freely between the locations, choose their moments and cultural scope and takeaways – a spontaneous kaleidoscope of emotions.
We start at 7 pm at the stage of the Roman Stadium where after the official opening of the event we can witness not a gladiators’ but a spectacular musical ‘battle’ in which tenors and baritones, studying at the Art Academy of Plovdiv but uniting the world’s continents, will present the power hidden in the of the centuries and the voices.
The amusing and educative parade-performance ‘Pedestrian Zone’ of State Puppet Theatre Plovdiv and Festival Association ’Three are too many, two – not enough’ will take over the main street and offer to youth and adults a funny walk from the Roman Stadium towards the ‘Kamentiza’ Stairs where the melodies of classical guitars and magical bayan will tell the stories of different lands and legends.
Stefan Stambolov square is the traditional stage for the power of music – the audience will be able to enjoy the impressive compilation of flute, double bass and folk jazz.
The new emblematic and an already favourite spot for plovdivians Forum West will be the home of State Opera Plovdiv which has selected an enchanting gentle duet of harp and oboe.
The Viennese pavilion in Tzar Simeon's Garden will await its visitors, enlivened with the creativity of the academic folklore ensembles of Art Academy Plovdiv.
And so from 7 pm till 9:30 pm on the 1st September 2022 our city will be a Kaleidoscope of Emotions, because the Autumn Salon of Arts Plovdiv 2022 commences. And art and culture inspire, connect, build, bring meaning, direction and development.
