Plovdiv participates with 7 reading nests in the 11th "Night of Literature" in Bulgaria

Contemporary European literature in new Bulgarian translations will be presented this year at the 11th "Night of Literature". Plovdiv participates for another year in one of the most exciting formats for the promotion of modern European literature. "Night of Literature" is an event that takes place at the same time in different European cities. Celebrities read excerpts from contemporary European poetry and prose published after 2000 and published in Bulgarian.
The readings take place in atypical locations for literature, called "reader's nests". The literary happening will be on September 7, 2022. , and the start is at 18.00.
The main organizers of the event in Bulgaria are the embassies and cultural institutes of European countries (EUNIC Bulgaria and others), the Municipality of Sofia, the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria, and the "Children's Books" Foundation. In the cities, the organizers and coordinators of the Night of Literature are the municipalities in partnership with libraries, community centers, youth organizations, etc.
It starts at 18:00 and an excerpt will be repeated in a specific place until 21:30. Thus, the audience will travel around the city and will be able to visit different reading places.
