The exhibition "Jeanne-Claude for Beginners" (or Power Girls in Public Spaces) opens on September 9 between 5 and 8 pm at artnewscafe. Two days later, on September 11, Sunday, at 8:30 p.m. on Central Square in Plovdiv, near the monument to Gyuro Mihailov, Lachezar Boyadzhiev will present his artistic project "Presence of Absence", also part of the post- mortem conversation about the influence of Christo and Jean-Claude and their work on art in the public space.

The exhibition "Jeanne-Claude for Beginners" (or Power Girls in Public Spaces) will last from September 9 to October 9 and will present 13 artists: Maria Nalbantova, Sofia Grancharova, Iskra Blagoeva, Natalia Todorova - Lenz, Aksinia Peycheva, Boryana Rossa, Selma Selman, Kalina Dimitrova, Desislava Terzieva, Mariela Gemisheva, Ina Valentinova, Sheila Kamerich, Ana Parvachki.

"Christo for Beginners" by Lachezar Boyadjiev is a project about the personal and the shared in physical space and imagination. It works with the public environment and this includes urban, media, virtual environment. Lachezar Boyadzhiev activates them with works, visions, exhibitions, actions, lectures, involving the participation of citizens and colleagues. Lachezar Boyadzhiev is a recognized expert on the work, practices and methods of Christo and Jean-Claude, but for the first time he is developing a project as an artist and not as a critic, theorist, lecturer and art historian. Christo for Beginners is a pilot project of Sarieva Gallery and Open Arts Foundation in the Sarieva Open Arts program.
